1941

PCGS PR 66

Most 1941 Proof Jefferson Nickels have evidence of die polishing on Jefferson's shoulder. This one is unusual in that it doesn't. It is probably one of the earliest proof nickels produced in 1941. $165 Please ask for photo.

War Nickels were made of an alloy that includes silver. They were said to reduce the Government's need for nickel which was in great demand for the war effort.

This superb example has stunning luster. It is toned yellow/gold. There are very few marks on this well struck gem. $135

1994-P

PCGS SMS 69 Full Steps

The 1994 Matte Finish nickel was only produced for the limited edition Thomas Jefferson Coin and Currency set.

This example is very nice with no flaws I can see. The obverse is untoned. The reverse has a touch of purple toning. This toning pattern is very typical of coins that were left in the US Mint packaging for several years and suggests the coin was never dipped. $105
