This is a beautiful gem quality dime with a light
scratch on each side. A lustrous mint state 1853 dime like this one without
the scratches would cost thousands more. In 1853 the weight of the dime was
reduced and arrows were placed at the date to signify this change. $420
Here is a neat looking coin. It has a good, just
miss FB,
strike and great toning with amber, reds and touches of blue. There is a
tiny die crack above the T in LIBERTY. $355
